Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson is all set to play the character ‘Black Adam’ from DC comics. And recently, he ended up narrating Kevin Durant’s ‘Black Adam’ hype tape. Durant left the Golden State Warriors after winning two back-to-back NBA championships with the team. He went to join forces with Kyrie Irving and the Brooklyn Nets since then. However, hasn’t been able to make much of a splash with the team due to injuries or constant roster changes by the front office.

There was a time this off-season when Durant requested a trade from the Nets. Though, he has been able to work out the differences and has decided to stay in Brooklyn. But the haters still haven’t gone away.

In his first season with the Nets, Durant lost to Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Milwaukee Bucks in the Eastern Conference semi-finals. Then last year, the Brooklyn Nets ended up getting swept by the Boston Celtics in the first round of the playoffs.

The Brooklyn Nets front office has made numerous changes to the roster since Kevin Durant joined the team. They traded away their young core in exchange for veterans to play alongside Irving and Durant.

The Nets front office even brought star James Harden to the team in the hopes of forming a superteam which arguably ended as a disaster. Now Ben Simmons is the latest addition to the team in the hopes of salvaging the main core of Durant and Irving.

With ‘Black Adam’ hitting the theaters this upcoming Friday, Dwayne Johnson’s narration might fire up Durant to prove all the haters wrong. Johnson’s narration had references like, “You saw friends become foes,” referring to James Harden moving on and joining the Philadelphia 76ers.

But what might’ve been the most hard-hitting line was, “And others cement their place in history without you,” hinting towards Stephen Curry’s latest championship win. Now if that isn’t enough to rile up Durant for this season, one has to wonder what is.

The Brooklyn Nets ended up losing the first game of the new season to the New Orleans Pelicans. Even though Durant had a good 32-point game, the rest of the team failed to pick up the place. Kyrie Irving ended the night with 15 points and Ben Simmons had just 4 points for the game.
