A Great Bend man was killed in a cement truck rollover crash Wednesday afternoon north of Russell.

According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, at 2:37 PM Wednesday, a 2005 Mack Cement Truck driven by 28-year-old Mason David Roach of Great Bend was northbound on US Highway 281 a half-mile south of Land Road when the vehicle drove off the left side of the roadway into the west ditch.

The vehicle went through a private fence, went airborne and rolled an unknown amount of times.

Roach was pronounced dead at the scene and transported to Pohlman-Varner-Peeler Mortuary in Russell.

He was not buckled up at the time of the crash.
